Stirling St Medical CTR

The creation of the Stirling Street Medical Centre was part of a large spend by the local PCT to upgrade surgery facilities in the Grimsby area.

The new surgery when completed brought together four medical practices under one roof in a state of the art facility.

The building was constructed on CFA piles due to its close proximity to the sea with a complex heavily reinforced ground floor raft constructed to an elevated level to comply with the Flood Risk Assessment.

A steel framed structure was used with metal deck / in situ concrete floors and roof cladding.

Façades were constructed via the use of masonry with brick, through coloured render, cladding andcedar boarding complemented by aluminium windows / curtain walling with integral security shutters.

All rooms in the new surgery were fully fitted out requiring the practices to simply transfer records etc which was all carried out over one weekend prior to the centre opening.
