OFFICE & INDUSTRIAL UNIT

Following the construction of a new warehouse with office facilities on the same site, Focus Label Machinery appointed us to refurbish an existing unit.

 

Whilst the office area would be vacated, due to space limitations, the client would need to retain at least half of the warehouse during the execution of the work. It was agreed the refurbishment of the warehouse area would therefore be completed in two phases, with the client moving into the completed half mid-way through the programme.

 

The offices were stripped out and new fixtures, fittings and finishes installed to match the new building as follows:

 

  • Suspended ceilings
  • Cubicle/washroom systems
  • Floor finishes
  • Mechanical installations – including comfort cooling
  • Electrical installations – including new fire alarm system, dado trunking, data wiring & new light fittings throughout
  • Internal doors & ironmongery

 

In the warehouse area of the building, the work essentially focused on cleaning and brightening up this space, which included:

 

  • A deep-clean and degrease of the floor slab, prior to applying a resin coating
  • Constructing a new production office
  • Two new metal staircases
  • Cleaning the whole structure
  • Re-decorate throughout

 

Externally, the aim was match certain design characteristics of the new unit and refurbish two of the façades which were seen by visitors. The work involved:

 

  • New metal cladding
  • Two new canopies
  • Automatic window and door shutters
  • New sectional overhead door
