This project involves the fit out of a newly constructed shell into 144 residential apartments including communal areas and landscaped courtyards, 2 no. retail units in the shopping centre below were also soft stripped and fitted out.
The residential units were at high level in 5 blocks spread about on a large shopping centre extension which was being built and fitted out at the same time (with a construction value in excess of £200 million).
Internal and courtyard finishes were of a very high quality as Hammerson plc wished to raise the bar in terms of quality of residential units being offered within the Midlands and mirror the quality being used within the shopping centre areas.
Mechanical and electrical services on the scheme were extensive with the following elements being provided over and above normal residential schemes:
All works were completed within tight time frames to ensure construction work was complete in time for centre opening which meant close liaison with Sir Robert McAlpine on the main scheme was vital from a logistics and programme point of view.
