Jessops Construction Ltd. have secured the contract to construct a brand new Aldi store in the East Yorkshire village of Cottingham.
The project, based on the former University of Hull hall of residence site, Needler Hall, will include demolition, site clearance and construction of the Aldi unit with associated external works.
The securement of this contract will be the tenth Aldi to be constructed by Jessops and forms part of Aldi's major UK expansion plan to build 1000 new stores by 2022.
Richard Sherry, Commercial Manager at Jessops Construction said, "We are delighted to have secured this Aldi contract. This follows the successful completion of 7 Aldi stores, and two currently in construction (Thorne, Doncaster and Burgh Road, Skegness). We feel the new Cottingham food store will complement our retail project portfolio and we look forward to commencing at the end of this month."
The Project due to commence on 31st January 2017, should complete in the early autumn.
