Our involvement with the project stretches back to late 2010 when our client approached us to put together an initial budget estimate and shortly afterwards, Contractors Proposals. A period of value engineering followed, culminating in a successfully negotiated contract.
The prestigious apartment development is situated in a quiet part of the London suburb of Putney and involved the extensive redevelopment of an existing 1960's building.
The work comprised of a two storey vertical extension to the main block fronting Kersfield Road and a two storey linear extension to the rear, together with refurbishment of communal areas and external works.
A new lift was also installed to service both the existing and new apartments.
Of particular technical interest is the lightweight timber framed construction and insulated render system with which the existing and new facades were covered, this gives the impression of a completely new development.
The new apartments are fitted out to a high standard and in the case of the two Penthouses, enjoy far reaching views across London towards the Shard and beyond. Particular attention was paid to the finishes with the installation of contemporary kitchens and bathrooms, limestone tiling, quality wooden floors and woollen carpets.
