The scheme is part of a regeneration to the town centre shopping experience with direct footpath links to the town centre high street.
The project comprises of 3no retail units and 2no drive thru food outlets.
The retail units were a 2125m2 Lidl food store, 464m2 charity unit for Sue Ryder and a 2788m2 unit for Home Bargains.
The construction of these units was a steel frame with insulated composite roof panels with a mixture of insulated wall cladding panels, brickwork and rendered clay blocks to the Lidl unit as their specification requires.
Apart from the amenity block to the Sue Ryder unit the other units were left as a shell for the respective tenants to carry out their own fitout requirements.
These units were serviced via a secure entrance into the concrete service yard to the rear of the units.
The drive thru units were constructed for KFC and Starbucks, both units were shell only built to the relevant design specification. All external works to the drive thru lanes and hard parking was constructed including signage.
Externally the scheme provided 225no car parking spaces with a mixture of parent & child, disabled and standard. The scheme provided 2no electric car charging points.
The scheme benefited from a comprehensive and pleasant landscaping design.
