The site was a former distribution depot located off Howard Road, Eaton Socon, a large two storey steel frame brick and metal clad building was located in the centre of the site.
The works included the demolishing of the existing two storey building and construction of three retail units. An Aldi Foodstore unit (19,400 sq ft), a B&M unit (22,000 sq ft) and a Pets at Home unit(7,500 sq ft). The units are steel framed buildings sitting on precast concrete piles and are cladded with composite panels, brickwork, through colour render and shopfront glazing. In addition to this the Aldi unit has a large section of Trespa rainscreen cladding. External works included 278 works the provision of 180 car parking spaces in tarmacadam and block paving, 930 sq.m of attention tank, car park lighting and street furniture.
