This project was a refurbishment scheme of an old Dunnes Store, the works commenced late December 2015 and involved a large amount of demolition internally and the removal of the front façade.
Once the building was stripped back Jessops Construction formed two retail units an Aldi Foodstore (24,800 sq ft) and a Home Bargins (18,100 sq ft).
The building shell works included the installation of a new loading pod, single ply roof, composite cladding to the front elevation, new shopfronts and general repairs to the remaining elevations. External works included the formation of a new service ramp and associated retaining walls, remodelling of the existing carpark which involved a large amount of making up levels, car park lighting and street furniture.
All of this was carried out on time and within budget.
