The Velocity Cladding & Balcony Remedial Works project was delivered on a live residential site housing 443 occupied apartments. The works followed an EWS1 fire safety assessment, which identified the need for remedial works across the entire building envelope.
Scope of Works
- Erection of a fully scaffolded structure around the entire building.
- Phased handover to minimise disruption to residents.
- Removal of historic cladding and balcony materials.
- Installation of non-combustible materials to meet current fire safety regulations.
- Careful coordination to maintain safe access through scaffolding for works across all elevations.
- Additional works carried out as the structure was exposed and further requirements identified.
