The project consisted of carrying out various upgrading works to the public footpaths and underground carpark to Building Control standards, around a large residential and commercial complex in the city centre of Sheffield.
The works involved the following elements:
- Installation of drainage channels to ramped areas
- Waterproofing of external ramps
- Block paving to all ramps
- Installation of glazed balustrades and handrails to ramps
- Installation of a Hydrobreak system and new manhole
- Tactile paving to steps
- Planting of trees and associated tree pits•Installation of doors and louvered doors to bin stores and fire exits
- Upgrading of Armco barriers to all levels of the car park
- Demarcation of steps and nosing throughout all areas
- Mastic works to all movement joints
- Brickwork cleaning to all areas
- Creation of bin store areas
- Other fire protection works to the carpark
This was all carried out whilst the building occupiers and residents were in occupation so close co-ordination of our works to minimise any disruption was closely monitored.
